The birth of Bully Pully is a story rooted in the founding of UNISARA Foundation. A story of the selfless endeavours by a mother and daughter to help voiceless, four legged unfortunates they saw on roadsides. Unee and her daughter Sara share a common vision as to how they should contribute with a humanitarian sensibility to make society better. Thus Unee’s first non–profit organisation: UNISARA, which is a combination of her name and her daughter’s name, was born when she and her daughter embarked on their mission to help orphaned animals they saw abandoned on the road.
Committing their own time and money this mother daughter duo became animal rescuers who opened their hearts and their home to orphaned puppies, kitties as well as adult dogs and cats, bringing them to their home, providing them food, shelter and medical care, and then finding them suitable kind hearted animal lovers to adopt them by placing newspaper advertisements. The orphans thus were given completely free of charge to their new loving homes, and this regular practice which has been going on for over a decade has blossomed in the lives of Unee and Sara a whole new avenue of welfare activity.
The success of UNISARA was resounding, and the results proved that there are many animal lovers out there who want to help orphaned animals but without the same level of financial resources which UNISARA has. The process that UNISARA engaged in was cumbersome and costly. It was apparent to Unee that in order to spread this practice and facilitate the growth of more ‘animal welfare heroes’ a new front will have to be opened to broaden the scope of the vision of UNISARA.
It was this mindset in Unee that paved the way for the birth of Bully Pully, which operates as a completely free of charge platform for animal rescuers and adopters to network on an online platform that advocates clear ethical standards together with transparency and responsibility in the best interest of maintaining the pure spirit of commitment to animal welfare.
